RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in articulating the individual's personal recovery goals.
• Provide hope and encouragement needed in reaching the individual's goal(s) for recovery.
• Model effective coping techniques and self-help strategies.
• Promote empowerment skills through self-advocacy and stigma reduction language.
• Assist in developing their aftercare (wellness recovery) plan.
• Teach and utilize problem solving techniques and coping skills.
• Maintain confidentiality and conduct self in an ethical manner, adhering to the PCB Code of Ethics.
• Educate about substance use disorders and the recovery process.
• Ability to communicate effectively, verbally, and in writing.
• Express relevant personal recovery experience in a clear and effective manner.
